Opening/Closing Washington Gas Account

Starting Washington Gas Service

ONLINE INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1: Go to: https://eservice.washgas.com/Pages/Login.aspx, click on "Start Service (Move In)"

OR

PHONE INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1: Call Washington Gas @ 1703 750 1000.

Step 2: Press 1 to continue in English.

Step 3: Press 2 to inquire about setting up service.

Step 4: Press 0 to establish an account at a property. (do not worry about giving your 10 digit account)

Step 5: Provide operator with your contact information as well as property address. SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER OF THE TENANT IS NECESSARY.

Step 6: Confirm a move-in date. OWNERSHIP OF THE BILL WILL BE TRANSFERRED SOLELY TO THE TENANT.

Stopping Washington Gas Service

Step 1: Go  to:  https://eservice.washgas.com/Pages/Login.aspx, click on "Discontinue Gas Service"

Step 1: Call Washington Gas @ 1703 750 1000.

Step 2: Press 1 to continue in English.

Step 3: Press 2 to inquire about setting up service.

Step 4: Press 0 to establish an account at a property. (do not worry about giving your 10 digit account)
