Opening/Closing WSSC
IF WATER METER IS INSIDE:
Step 1: Call WSSC @ 301-206-4001 Step 2: Speak to an operator. (To do this, you can say “Payment Arrangement” and then “I don’t know it”, in regards to your account number.) Step 3: You must give the operator a current meter reading (This reading should be a 7 digit number from left to right) Step 4: A final bill will be mailed to the previous tenant/owner. Step 5: Provide the operator with your name, drivers license #, and phone number in order to add yourself to the existing account.
IF WATER METER IS OUTSIDE:
Step 1: Call WSSC @ 301-206-4001 at least a few days prior to your move in date. Step 2: Schedule a time for a professional to come out and read the outside meter. Step 3: Add yourself to the account by providing general personal information.
Alternatively (not recommended):
Fill out the following form as a TENANT and either fax to 301-206-7013 or email it back to start service: https://www.wsscwater.com/files/live/sites/wssc/files/PDFs/Settlement%20or%20Moving%20Form.pdf . Once completed, save the form and email it to: wssccallcenter@wsscwater.com or or submit via faxsimile to 301-206-8099.
